After The Fall – In the Asphodel Fields

After the Fall, inspired by Euripides’s Hecuba and Trojan Women, and Punchdrunk’s Burnt City is an immersive, promenade performance during which the audience are given one-night-only entry into the Asphodel Meadows – a liminal space between heaven and hell. The souls of the captors and captured, victims and perpetrators emerge to play out the aftermath of the Fall of Troy.

Part of a season of two contemporary responses to ancient Greek theatre at the Bridewell Theatre, this production is created and performed by MA/MFA Actor and Performer Training students from Rose Bruford College, and directed by Sarah Dowling, a longtime associate of Punchdrunk, the internationally renowned London-based immersive theatre company.

Please note this show has a maximum capacity of 36 per performance.

Disclaimer: After the Fall is an immersive promenade performance, where the audience will move through the space to receive the full experience. There will be no seating during the performance. Audiences are expected simply witness, not fully interact, with the performance.
