In this two day course students will be introduced to the skills needed to work with leather. Some experience of basic bookbinding is preferred but not essential. Students will sew their own book blocks and will have the opportunity to pare a piece of leather to be used as a quarter bound book with decorative paper. The workshop will focus on blade sharpening and different leather paring techniques as well as bookbinding structure.
