It was the first music show on the BBC for teenagers and they loved it, Those teenagers are now senior and the music is for everyone. Pete Murray was the host and Jack Good was the producer, it went out On a Saturday evening at five minutes past six, hence the name Six Five-Special. Many artists appeared on the show, Jim Dale, Lonnie Donegan, Chas McDevitt, Wee Willie Harris, Vince Eager, Tommy Steel.
Now as Pete Murray will be 100 this year, we have created a Six Five Special presentation with interviews and film clips new and vintage and photos.
