As We Face the Sun

Written by: Kit Withington
Directed by: Hal Chambers
Presented by: Rose Bruford College

It’s 2013 somewhere in England and a group of teenagers are off on a school trip. The mood is raucous, happy and excited. Then something happens that will change their lives for ever.

It’s 2023 somewhere in England and the same group of classmates are throwing an annual party to remember that event in 2013. The party is prepared with love and care; emotions and memories are profoundly lived and relived. But this time something feels different.

As We Face The Sun is a powerful, funny, and poignant story about holding on to what we value, learning how to let go of the past, and facing up to an uncertain future.

This production is part of Rose Bruford College’s London Season 2025, performances by final year undergraduates in Acting and Actor-Musicianship in collaboration with technical, design and management courses.
